Weingut Fred Loimer
Fred Loimer took over the estate from his parents in 1998 and is one of the few Austrian Flying Winemaker, he acted as consultant to a large winery in China. The new winery in Langenlois, finished in 1999 caused in the wine and architecture scene sensation.
The vineyard area totals 28 hectares of vineyards of different terroirs in the top vineyards Dechant, Käferberg, Seeberg, Spiegel and Steinmassl. They are planted with the white varieties Grüner Veltliner (about 50%), Riesling, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir. The premium wines include Riesling and Grüner Veltliner several Kamptal DAC and Kamptal DAC Reserve Ried with different names and different red wines from the Pinot Noir.
