Although the winery is known for its excellent red wines, Josef Umathum also produced fascinating white wines, like the original, Pannonian, white grape Lindenblättriger, Gelber Traminer and Pinot Gris.

With about 85 percent of the vineyard but the Austrian red varieties Zweigelt, St. Laurent and Blaufräkisch are the main focus. On both banks of Lake Neusiedl, a rich variety of soils of slate, limestone, clay and pebble is managed. The most important documents are called Ried Hallebühl, Vom Stein, Haideboden, Kirschgarten, where is also the only stone terrace located in Burgenland. As one of the few Umathum brings his high-vineyard wines only after three years of storage at the winery for sale.
