The Sabathi family's tradition of viticulture goes back to 1650. The big upswing began in 1992 when Erwin Sabathi Jr. entry into the parental enterprise in the tenth generation. It was on this foundation that he founded his company and the "Erwin Sabathi" brand, which is well known today. Today, the bio-certified winery is in the hands of Erwin and his wife Patrizia with special attention to the origin of the wine and the impact of nature: all grapes are hand-picked, all vineyards are cultivated according to organic guidelines, and all wines are fermented exclusively with natural yeasts.
