For more than 700 years, the name for Marchesi De'Frescobaldi stands passionate commitment of viticulture and winemaking. With over 1,000 hectares of vineyards, the noble family is of one of the largest Eurpean vineyards owner and produced at different wineries in Tuscany and Friuli wines of the highest quality level: Ornellaia, Castello di Pomino, Castello di Nipozzano, Castelgiocondo and Castiglioni are the most popular from Tuscany. Among other things, Frescobaldi was the first to cultivated the grape varieties Chardonnay, Cabernet, Merlot and Pinot Noir.1993 Marchesi De'Frescobaldi launched in Tuscany with Robert Mondavi the first year of the now rare 'Luce della Vite'.
