Monks from the Citeaux Monastery planted the first vines around the Abbey of Morgeot around 1550. Marques Philippe de Mac-Mahon acquired the vineyards of former convent. He caused a stir with Premier Crus “Clos de la Garenne” and “Abbaye de Morgeot. ” Olivier and Patrick Leflaive have been managing the large areas organically since 2010.
